St. John, the smallest of the 3 major U.S. Virgin Islands was decimated by Hurricane Irma. Now her people need our help!

On Sept. 6, 2017, one of most power hurricanes in the history of the Atlantic Basin, Cat 5 Hurricane Irma brought down her fury on St. John, USVI. The resulting damage was the worst anywhere under the US flag from Irma, Jose or Maria. A pristine landscape was completely denuded, 85% of home and businesses destroyed or severely damaged, and 90% of boats sunk or damaged and run aground.Amazingly, there were no lives lost as a result of the 3 ½ hour, 185 mph wind and rain onslaught wrought by Irma. One thing that Irma didn’t destroy though was the indomitable spirit of local St. Johnians who continue the process of digging out and rebuilding their lives.
